WINAUTOMATION TUTORIAL SERIES
THE SOFTOMOTIVE TEAM – AUGUST 25, 2018
Similar to the Macro Recorder covered in a previous tutorial, which records user actions performed on Desktop related applications, using WinAutomation’s WebRecorder, you are able to record any web related task in the same way. You can select to start the Web Recorder when creating a new process, or from the Process Designer ribbon, or top menu. When starting the Web Recorder, a window appears, asking which browser to use. In order to use any of the 3 major browsers, Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer, you would need to have the webpage already loaded in order for them to appear on the list. For this tutorial, the Automation Browser will be used, to create a process that extracts from a website the information of all the people on the list who live in Sacramento, California.
