Popups staying around (or jobs not ending)

Lately I've been having a new issue I didn't before, there is a popup from tray notifying about jobs running, and those stick around and keep building up, until finally no new jobs are started...

I'm unsure if the problem is related to the popups directly or the jobs themselves not ending properly, but all the scheduled tasks have been run fine even though they have like "running 5 days" and such on the popup.

Anyone else see something similar?

Running it on a remote server (I think it's windows 2003 server)

I've had this problem with an older version of winautomation, but it was resolved in later versions.

What version do you use ?

Cryptc,   If you are running WinAutomation on a server, where multiple users are logged in at the same time, you'll need to apply some settings to allow WinAutomation run for a single user only. This will prevent conflicts and other issues.   You can only allow for WinAutomation to run for one user only (usually it's the administrator or a user with admin rights). To make sure it will not cause any problems, you'll have to edit the registry. To do that, please download the file Run WinAutomation for Specific Current User ONLY and rename its extension from .txt to .bat and double click on it to run it while logged in as the user that will be making use of it on the server (usually that will be the administrator or other user with admin privileges).   Also, it is suggested that you download and import the script Check DIAgent, that will ensure that the scripts will only be running for the current user, and no other users. Please do make sure to change the username within the script attached once you've imported it.   Please do give the above a try and if you're still getting issues, please do make sure that you contact us at support@winautomation.com so that we can go through it during a Remote Support TeamViewer Session   Samantha

Hi Samantha

I couldn't get it to run right as a batch file, but I used the info in it to do the registry editing manually, so hopefully it should work right now.

Thank you for the helpful response :)  Will post again if the problem persists.

Hi

Looks like the issue is still around, do I need to restart the server for this registry edit to take effect? in which case it might be a week or two until our next maintenance cycle before I can see if it worked or not.

I would suggest that you sent an email through to support@winautomation.com so that one of our agents will look into the issue through a Remote Support Session
