Is there a way to run the notification window for some jobs and not others? I see how to turn it on and off in the Options, but that's a global setting and not a per-job setting.

Re: Notification Window

Hello Wyatt!

At the moment you cannot actually select in which jobs the notification window will show or not, a feature such as, will be included in a later release.

At the moment, a good workaround is..:

Once the job runs, as you can see the pop-up window appears.
So you can simply add just one action:

Close Window: FormNotifier*

This will close all notifier windows.

Till the next release is out.. In the event that you want to close a specific job's Notifier Window alone you can catch the Notifier's Window Name using the Wait for Image Action and send a click on the top right of the window to close it.

In the next WinAutomation release, all Notifier Windows will be named after the job they are representing, so you will be able to close them individually :)

Enjoy :)

Re: Notification Window

Samantha: It would be nice if I could either:

1) Turn off the Notification Window globally, and have an action to "Show Notification Window" that I could add as the first (or any) step in the job.

2) Right-click on the job in the console, then choose Edit Job Properties, then have a check box where I could specify if I want the Notification Window for that specific job.

Having the window pop up then close is distracting.

Two other suggestions for the next version: Let me control the computer volume, and let me use the Windows key in a trigger (for example instead of Ctrl-Alt-1 I could use Windows Key-1).

Re: Notification Window

Hello Wyatt!

It's in the plan for Job properties to include an option to control individually each job's notifier window, but you'll have to wait for it a for a short while, since it will be included in the next version (Not version 3.1)

Regarding the windows key and the computer's volume, they're both good ideas, I'll make sure I forward them to our developers, I'm sure they will take them into account and include them in a next version.

:)
