Hi guys and gals,

I bought Win from the Warrior Forum and have spent a few hours looking at all the test jobs you delieverd with the software. Right now I'm so lost s to even build my own job. I manage to launch applications and that's about it, lol. I'm afraid I'm a total techno tart when it comes to comprehending stuff like this.

Here is what I'd like to be built for me if you offer this at all:

The following job is something I do pretty much each day and would love to be able to automate if possible. These are the steps I take:

  1. I launch Firefox and log into Google Docs
  2. I look for articles from my writers that haven't been read yet (e.g. bold) using their username
  3. I open each article one by one and insert links to my client's website using keywords I find. Each article has a different topic but all of them are centered around one niche. I usually hyperlink around 5 keywords in each article, but it varies. The keywords vary too but since they are in the same nice many are repetitive and some are usually linked to the same page over and over again.
  4. I then check for spelling one last time and save the article before I move to the next. At the same time I close each article I also update the client spreadsheet with today's date to mark the article done.
  5. Once I have done them all (usually I do 5-10) per writer I batch select them and send to my client within Google Docs via the share feature.
  6. Then I rinse and repeat with next writer's batch.

My question to you, is it possible to automate this whole process and if yes, how in the world am I going to do this?

I really need help please.

Regards

Mon

Re: How Do I Automate Complex Link Insertion And Editing Job?

Hi Mon

The post below should cover step one for you. For the rest, you will need a bespoke job using regular expressions I'd imagine and some discussion of exactly what you need. Someone more knowledgable will chime in soon.

All the best
