      Hi guys!

OK, I'm interested in creating spinnable articles. I know this topic has been discussed before here on the forum, but not this particular question (that I found).

      I have WordFlood 2.0. I have WinAutomation Professional 3.0.3.410.

For those unfamiliar with WordFlood, you can paste content into the main body of the program and selected words within that content will have their synonyms shown in columns above the main body. You can then choose from the synonym columns to control how the content gets spun.

This works well for one-off spinning, but not so much for getting multiple versions out of my content quickly.

Here's my question. Is there a way to use WinAutomation to pull those synonyms out of the columns in WordFlood and plug them into a curly brace structure so I can run multiple spins automatically?

If is clear as mud, I hope someone can translate into something that makes more sense.

      Thanks for your help!

EDIT - Here's a link to a screenshot of WordFlood: http://www.wordflood.com/Screenshot.html and here's a link to a free version download (WordFlood 1.2) that I think is quite similar to 2.0: http://www.wordflood.com/Free.html

I think that this software does not provide its synonym database in a plain text format, so I would have to say that it will not be very easy to try to automate it.

      Thanks for your response!

I can open the file in a comma delimited format in Excel, but maybe that's not even the right approach.

I wonder if there's a way to automate the functionality of the program...

When someone copies text into the main body, the program selects (puts a red box around) several words. Then each word is split out as a label at the top of a column above the main body. Each column is populated with synonyms for the specific keyword taken from the body.

Is there a way to tell WinAutomation to go to each column, copy the synonyms listed, then plug them into a curly brace structure?

I know (or I think I know) it will take getting each specific list of synonyms into a text file and then iterate through them to plug them into the curly braces. However, I'm stumped as to how to tell WinAutomation to go to each column to copy the contents.

      Any thoughts?

      Thanks again for your help!

So, do you have the synonyms saved in a csv file? If yes, can you post a sample csv file and give us an example of the final format that you would like to transform your text to?

It sounds like an easy task, but before creating a sample job, I want to make sure that I know exactly the process that you are describing.

      Hi 134p, thanks for responding.

I do not have the synonyms is csv file. I have a file of the entire database, but not separated out by the main words and the synonyms that correspond to each (if that made any sense). I can't even copy and paste the list of synonyms from within the program because any mouse movement/clicking functionality will replace the original word in the text body with a synonym. So it doesn't appear that I can select and copy the list of synonyms in the columns.

I ended up creating a waj that allows me to manually type in the sentences in curly brace structure through a text input box and then it appends them to a text file. Pretty clumsy solution, but it's the best I could come up with. :-(. All this programming stuff is new to me, so this has been my learning project.

Now my goal is to figure out how to use WinAutomation to create spun content from the curly brace structure. I'm off to do some reading and research, but if anyone has some suggestions or guidance to offer, I'd be thrilled to hear it!
